Strategic Technology Initiatives leads large technology projects across the campus to enhance UC Davis students' academic and co-curricular experiences, improve educational outcomes, streamline enrollment procedures and provide clear paths toward degree completion.

Student Information System Discovery

The Student Information System Discovery project, or SIS Discovery, is a multiyear initiative exploring the needs of a future UC Davis student information infrastructure serving all of UC Davis, including undergraduate and graduate students, multiple administrative units, colleges, professional schools and more.

New degree audit system: uAchieve

The uAchieve Degree Audit System Project is a multiyear project replacing two systems currently in place for students and advisors to one system used by both. The project also aligns the degree certification process for undergraduates. Learn more about uAcheive.

Transcript Reader and Processing

The Transcript Reader and Processing project implements automated high school and college transcript reading and processing to eliminate manual data entry into the admission application review. This initiative supports institutional priorities to minimize manual work and improve Undergraduate Admissions' capabilities to process increasing volumes of applications and transcripts. Project work launched in summer 2026 with a tentative completion set for summer 2027.
